For those that live or have visited Grand Rapids, you know that it’s a pretty cool place. For those that haven’t, well, I don’t know what your deal is.

Between the 40+ breweries, the river, and events, Grand Rapids has almost everything you need for it to be cool city. What it is lacking is a cooler nickname.

GR, GRap, or as the signs on the interstate read GD Rapids (watch below link to understand why this is a terrible name. Also, why is it that we can fit Rapids on the sign but not Grand?) are common names for the city. But really, for as hipster as this city is, we can do better than that.

And that is where this website comes in. Although, I would like to take full credit for the Pids, there are really two people that deserve shout outs. 1) My uncle, he was the first person to ever use the term the Pids, and 2) Ben, for hating the name sooo much that it drove me to actually spend money on the domain name just to make him mad.

So if you want to help me on this campaign to give Grand Rapids the nickname it deserves, follow along and become the great Pidizen you know you are.
